Already Blew It

Dang it.  My pants are tight and I feel like a whale.  However, I have exercised 5 days out of 7, so at least that's something.  Today, even though I am iced in, I will NOT succumb to eating as I did yesterday.  If I get hungry, I will knit.  If I'm really hungry, I will start something NEW.  Doesn't matter how many projects I have on the needles.  If it keeps me from overeating, I will start something.

One thing new each week

OK, so this year I'm done with Jenny Craig.  I lost 20 pounds and kept it off for a year.  My counselor was awesome.  But I got so sick of that food.  Also, it shipped in a non-recyclable container.  I did like that fact that it had more protein and less fat than Lean Cuisine, but I was so tired of it.

Then I gained 5 pounds in Ireland.  I never took it off.  Then I gained another 5 between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.

I'm back exercising, so that's good.  However, I just had to stop only 15 minutes into my workout due to low blood sugar.  My calorie intake was sufficient but I have ALWAYS had to eat a Luna protein bar (They're hideous, by the way, but they do the trick.) before a workout to avoid this, even while on Jenny.

Anyway, I know that portion control is my main problem.  It's usually not the kind of food, even though with the holidays, that did play a part this time.

So this week, instead of eating an entire Which Wich sandwich, I will just eat 3/4 of it.  If I go out, I will visually calculate what portion is reasonable, and then separate that from the rest and just eat that.  I will still eat all my snacks like I normally do, but I will cut down on the amount I eat at meals this week.
